Sang protagonis adalah seorang cewek anak SD bernama Ichimatsu Kohina yang tinggal sendirian, suatu hari dia ‘memanggil’ seekor arwah rubah bernama Kokkuri-san melalu game ‘pertemuan roh’, awalnya Kokkuri ingin merasuki Kohina tapi malah memutuskan untuk mengurus rumahnya seperti seorang ibu, selain itu ada pula 2 roh lain yang muncul yaitu roh anjing dan roh anjing rakun.
